Services

The first step in working together is to get to know each other through a complimentary initial consultation, followed by a comprehensive assessment of needs once we get started.

BEYOND Recreation Therapy strives to support individuals and families, businesses and organizations, and the community as awhole to facilitate inclusivity for all.

Recreation Therapy Consultation

An initial consultation with a Recreation Therapist is an opportunity to get to know one another. We can connect to discuss your current level of leisure participation, future goals and aspirations you have set and hope to achieve, recreation program options and supports in your community, funding and recreation equipment loans available, and more. An initial consultation can provide you with a better understanding of Recreation Therapy and all it has to offer.

Recreation Therapy Assessment

After an initial consultation, your Recreation Therapist will conduct a comprehensive needs assessment to determine the best therapeutic methods and activities for you. We will take the time to understand your personal recreational interests and passions, find new interests you might not know you had, and work to develop a trusting client/caregiver relationship. We will work together to plan therapy sessions based on your unique strengths and interests, and set achievable goals and outcomes.

Individualized Recreation Therapy Sessions

BEYOND Recreation Therapy provides one-to-one therapy sessions both in a client’s home and their community. Therapy sessions are tailored to each individual through a comprehensive leisure assessment, followed by purposeful goal setting and the implementation of your personalized Recreation Therapy plan. Your Recreation Therapist will document activity participation and progress to ensure goals are being met.
